Florida Update: ATAP Urges Support for PBM Bill as It Clears Another Hurdle

ATAP is pleased to report that a Florida bill aimed at regulating PBMs (HB 351) has cleared another important hurdle: the Health and Human Services Committee yesterday voted unanimously in favor of passing the bill out of committee. ATAP sent a letter to Committee Members earlier this week expressing our support for HB 351 and urging them to support this legislation and vote in favor of the bill.

ATAP Supports New Hampshire Bill to Increase PBM Transparency

On February 7, ATAP sent a letter to New Hampshire legislators expressing its support for HB 1529, which seeks to increase transparency for pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) by requiring them to annually disclose the amount of rebates and discounts received from drug manufacturers.  The bill is currently being considered by the House Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee, following a public hearing on its provisions.

The Alliance for Transparent & Affordable Prescriptions (ATAP), a coalition of provider and patient groups concerned about the practices of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), started off the new year by adding three new members to its coalition: Kentuckiana Rheumatology Alliance (KRA), Ohio Association of Rheumatology (OAR), and International Foundation for Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis (IFAA).
