Coalition Calls on CMS to Bring Greater Transparency to PBM Practices

ATAP joined with the PBM Accountability Project and other organizations calling on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to ensure strong implementation of new Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reform provisions.

The letter, responding to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ request for information concerning implementation of the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reform provisions of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026 urges CMS to close loopholes, require comprehensive reporting of PBM revenues and compensation, and bring greater transparency to the complex business practices that can contribute to higher prescription drug costs.
