ATAP Signs Coalition Letter Calling for PBM Transparency and Accountability
The Alliance for Transparent and Affordable Prescriptions (ATAP) is proud to join a broad, bipartisan coalition of patient groups, employer organizations, and health care advocates in signing a letter urging Congress to enact comprehensive Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reform before the end of the year.
The letter calls on lawmakers to advance long-overdue measures that would bring transparency, accountability, and fairness to the PBM system—reforms that were included in the December 2024 health care package and enjoyed strong support in both chambers. These policies would help end opaque practices that drive up drug costs, restrict patient access, and burden employers and families across the country.
ATAP remains committed to ensuring that patients and providers have a voice in the national conversation on prescription drug access and affordability. We urge Congress to act quickly and deliver meaningful PBM reform that puts patients first.
