ATAP WELCOMES INFUSION ACCESS FOUNDATION AS NEWEST COALITION MEMBER
IAF Joins ATAP to Advocate for PBM Industry Accountability
[Austin, TX] March 1, 2022] – The Alliance for Transparent and Affordable Prescriptions (ATAP), a coalition of physician and patient advocacy organizations focused on exposing how the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) industry drives up prescription drug prices, welcomes the Infusion Access Foundation (IAF) as its newest coalition member to demand PBM industry accountability. The Infusion Access Foundation (IAF) is a nonprofit organization representing an inclusive community dedicated to patient empowerment, education, and advocacy.
“We are thrilled IAF has joined ATAP to help us continue to advocate for PBM industry reforms,” stated Dr. Robert Levin, ATAP’s President. “Patients today are suffering under a system that prevents them from getting the medicine they need at prices they can afford. The PBM industry profits while interrupting the provider-patient relationship. ATAP remains dedicated to shining on the hidden profit motives of the PBM industry to effect meaningful change on behalf of patients. We are grateful that IAF joined our coalition and the fight against this rogue industry.”
IAF recently launched as an independent organization following nearly a decade as part of the National Infusion Center Association (an ATAP member organization.) It is a community of patients united to protect access to treatments, including infusions and injections.

ATAP is an active advocate for patients in federal and state battles to amplify the voices of patients and physicians. In addition to its work in the legislative arena, it filed amicus briefs in cases including PCMA v. WEHBI and the 8-0 Supreme Court victory, Rutledge v PCMA.
